I’m a Pacific Islander. Everyone says “Just use coconut oil.” I don’t know if it will actually work, but I’m trying it. My hair feels kind soft and light in a good way. Well if anything, I’ll check back in a few weeks and give my results. For now, don’t follow what I am doing.
Genetics is rarely a factor in female hair loss. Usually female pattern baldness is caused by hormonal imbalance. These could be brought on by stress or by normal events like pregnancy, or menopause or even side effects of medications, such as birth control. One cannot rule out possible hair damage caused by harsh shampoos, perms or hair coloring products. But the MOST common cause of hair loss in women is hypothyroidism. This is where there is a lack of thyroid hormone in the body. This can affect the body’s metabolism, cell growth and absorption of nutrients, which indirectly can have an effect on your hair.
You may have seen the ads in the back of men’s magazines, you’ve heard the commercials on the radio, and you’ve seen the infomercials promoting miracle treatments for hair loss. The bottom line is that most advertised “treatments” do not work for the prevention and treatment of hair loss. If a hair loss treatment is not approved by the FDA or recommended by the American Hair Loss Association, chances are you are wasting your time and money.
Therefore, it is recommended that you use only natural hair loss treatment products that also use only natural ingredients. However, how would you know which ones truly use natural ingredients? By looking at the product’s label, you would surely know.
As everyone ages, hair follicles begin to shrink, leading to thinning hair (or loss of hair density). ROGAINE is clinically proven to regrow up to 25% more hair . No topical treatment works faster to grow fuller hair than ROGAINE.
Eliminate stress in your life. Although androgenic alopecia is not reported to be stress related, stress can cause hair loss. In order to keep your hair healthy, avoid factors that trigger stress in your life. Three types of stress-related hair loss conditions are recognized:
According to Amazon, the Ultrax Labs Hair Surge is a highly effective micro blend caffeine shampoo and is the top rated 2015 shampoo for hair regrowth stimulation. The formula’s powerful caffeine compounds can help reduce hair loss, stimulate hair growth, and block the effects of testosterone within the skin. It also contains essential oils, saw palmetto, and 0.2% Ketoconazole to aid in hair growth.
Because there’s no cure for baldness (yet), there’s no hair loss treatment that’s going to leave you totally satisfied. That said, there are three FDA-approved treatments — minoxidil, finasteride, and lasers — that can stave off hair loss for the foreseeable future. Use them together for best results.
Besides Argan oil, Art Naturals packs their shampoo with other natural ingredients to increase hair growth and build a healthy scalp. It has aloe vera, rosemary, thyme, burdock root, and white willow bark. It’s also designed to make your hair look fuller and healthier.
Additionally, oils of pink grapefruit and pumpkin seed extract are also ingredients that do wonders to your hair. Together, these products help stop hair from falling and effectively promote the growth of hair.
Stress and hair loss don’t have to be permanent. If you get your stress under control, your hair may grow back. Be sure to talk to your doctor if you notice sudden or patchy hair loss or more than usual hair loss when combing or washing your hair. Sudden hair loss can signal an underlying medical condition that requires treatment. If needed, your doctor may suggest treatment options for the hair loss as well. And if efforts to manage your stress on your own don’t work, talk to your doctor about stress management techniques.

In men, finasteride (originally marketed as Proscar) is approved for hair loss associated with androgens. In one study, 62% of women also taking oral contraceptives containing the synthetic progestin drospirenone reported improvement. So it may be effective for female hair loss in the setting of increased androgen. But studies are limited and it is harmful to the male fetus so should not be used by women thinking about becoming pregnant or who are pregnant.
I am a female and was desperate to stop my hair loss. 10 years ago I decided to try Rogaine Minoxidil. I purchased the 5% liquid (the men’s serum) and have used it daily for the past 10 years. It has worked wonders for me. It has worked so well that several years ago I decided to reduce the twice a day application to just once a day. This product needs to be applied everyday so don’t assume it will be OK to occasionally skip a day. You WILL lose hair, so don’t skip even one day!
I have always had fine, thin hair but just recently I’ve become very self-conscious about my scalp showing. I’m only 26 years old and thought this was not the age I should start balding! I’ve tried everything – Biotin, Viviscal, any type of hair growth supplement. Yes, these supplements supported hair growth but they did not support hair re-growth like Rogaine did. I’ve been using Rogaine religiously for three months now and I swear by it. I think the pictures do this product justice. Thanks Rogaine!
Just a question…I am using nizoral shampoo for my face, to treat my seborrheic dermatitis, and I am afraid that due to the anti-androgenic and anti-dht qualities of the product it might be in some way affecting my beard regrowth :/ Please help!
