Towels are very rough and have large fibers that break and damage hair very easily. A better solution for drying hair is to use either a cotton T-shirt or a micro-fiber towel, which can be purchased at beauty stores. Instead of rubbing your hair with the T-shirt or micro-fiber towel, pat and squeeze it dry. Hair is very delicate when it is wet, and using this technique will prevent further breakage.
It’s also easy to apply, whether you choose the topical solution or the foam. Your purchase comes with a dropper style applicator that allows you to apply the topical solution directly to the area where you’re trying to grow hair. With the foam, you apply it to the affected area and gently massage it into your hair and scalp.

While rubbing your hair with a towel seems like the quickest way to dry it, it is also the worst thing that you could do to your hair. Drying your hair vigorously with a towel will lead to hair breakage, tangles, and pulling. Instead, gently squeeze out the excess moisture from your hair with your towel and then let it dry naturally.
(NEWS 8) – French fries may not be good for your waistline, but your hairline is a different story. A new study says an ingredient used to cook McDonald’s fries can help generate hair growth. According to a paper published in the journal “Biomaterials …
Some blogs may recommend natural products and the ‘no-poo’ method, which involves cutting out all haircare and relying on baking soda to clean your hair. I am a big fan of Coconut Oil and Olive Oil as both beauty and haircare products, but I found the Lee Stafford range to really work. Coupled with the other elements, I noticed hair growth, new hair growth and also my hair was stronger and shinier than ever.
Propecia is a prescription drug approved by the FDA for handling male pattern hair loss. It has a good success rate for certain specific baldness patterns, but has some serious side effects that you need to be aware of. The prescription is expensive and is generally not covered by most insurance companies. And there is no satisfaction guarantee.
Consuming omega fatty acids can help to improve your hair from the inside, since they are filled with nutrients and proteins. Taking an omega supplement along with antioxidants helps to improve hair density and diameter. It also reduces hair loss. Omega fatty acids help your cells to work correctly and can boost immunity, leading to better overall health. Follow the manufacturer’s recommended dosage.
In this small trial , standardised scalp massage was administered 4 minutes a day for 24 weeks. Researchers observed an increase in hair thickness as well as an increase in the expression of hair cycle related genes (NOGGIN, BMP4, SMAD4, and IL6ST) and a decrease in expression of IL6 – a gene associated with hair loss.
January 24, 2018 – One of our finalists, The Capillus82 Laser Cap, is no longer available on Amazon, so we’ve removed it from this review. Rogaine is still our top pick, but keep your eyes peeled for a larger update in the next few months. We’ll take fresh look at some new additions to the hair loss market, including products that use finasteride — an ingredient that (up until recently) has been prescription-only.
But its three ingredients to focus on are Biotin, castor oil, and emu oil. Caffeine is also in the Lipogaine formula – which we don’t mean to overlook – but we’ve already spent some time on it in this post. Let’s take a closer look at the other three:

Laser treatments are the latest frontier in staving off hair loss, and they’ll be the first choice for fans of sci-fi. As silly as they may sound, these treatments do work — the American Journal of Clinical Dermatology in 2014 reported a “statistically significant difference” in hair density with no “serious adverse events” or side effects. The bad news: Laser treatments tend to be expensive, progress is slow, and they don’t always produce stellar results.
Thanks for replying minaz..I used reetha-shikakai rinse as shampoo after oiling my hair but even after 2 washes my hairs were still oily..as it doesnt lather that much so oil didnt come out completely.for my medium length hair I used 7 pods of reetha and 8 pieces of shikakai.so please help me wid that oily thing.
I have been told constantly especially by hair dressers that the inversion method does not work. I had hip length hair until mid-December, I cut it and it was shoulder length. I regretted it and have been trying to find ways to hide my hair including using a wig. Plus when my hair is short, it isn’t straight; it curls outwards and it’s really irritating. The first week of the first month, I only massaged my scalp for 5 minutes, 7 days straight. I also take fish oil, multivitamin and biotin. This month, I am going to try it with castor oil and massage my scalp. I also get about 0.5 in. of hair growth a month. It’s been a month and two week and it looks as if my hair grew more than an inch. I also skipped January and wish I didn’t.
I Love this method for getting longer thicker hair super fast! What are your hair goals? There’s nothing worse than going shorter and realizing you miss long hair 🙁 Try this out and come back to let me know how you like it!!
7. Consider trying hair-boosting supplements. Your body requires many vital nutrients to create new hair, from ample protein to a slew of essential minerals. So take a look at your diet — because while eating a balanced diet helps, you may not be getting the proper amount of all the hair-building nutrients needed to create healthy hair that can grow super-long and withstand damage. “I take Viviscal Extra Strength and biotin tablets every day and tell my clients to do so as well — especially if they want to grow their hair and make it healthier as soon as it comes out of the follicle,” Townsend says. Before starting to take supplements, it’s best to check in with your doctor to make sure that you take the right amounts and that they won’t interact with any medications you’re currently taking.
Medications: “Some antidepressants, such as Zoloft, may shorten the anagen phase,” says Alan Bauman, M.D., a hair-restoration physician in Boca Raton, Florida. Other drugs, such as certain contraceptives and medications for thyroid or cholesterol conditions, can compromise growth as well. See your doctor for alternatives.
Hi Vinita, yes hair specialists do say you shouldn’t wash every day but everyone is different. Some days I do wash my hair every day butI try to cut it down to every other day. I would suggest using the oil on days when you want to wash your hair the next morning, and simply omit the oil on days when you do not want to wash your hair. You can do the inversion method without oil too – I hope that helps 🙂
If your hair started thinning from tamoxifen treatment, the loss usually levels off after the first year. But the thinning may last as long as you take the drug, which might be as long as five years. You can use Rogaine (chemical name: minoxidil) for tamoxifen-induced hair loss. It’s safe and effective, but a messy daily chore, and it’s expensive. However, many drugstores and superstores carry generic versions of Rogaine that are less expensive and just as effective.
Hi I’m jamaican..will the method work with my hair . I had beautiful hair once but I cought Dandruff’s and it droped off and after years of doctors treatment and everything it won’t grow so what will I suggest. Its been like this for 7 years now

Hi Anushka, thanks for this article. I’ve had a really good read through and I’m currently waiting for my jelly to set in the fridge (any excuse to eat my favourite dessert) after using the inversion method with coconut oil. My hair is incredibly thick and there is lots and of it, my issue is that it grows out and not down! So frustrating! I’m getting married in December and I’m trying to grow out my hair for the big day. My 20 year old daughter (who has beautiful long, blonde hair) and my fiancé (who is folicley challenged) think I will get it cut before the day. I really want to prove them wrong so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this works xxxx

Hi there, it’s really up to you. I tried all these at the same time and it worked for me, but I have done the inversion method without the other tips at it also worked. I just felt the oils and foods really helped strengthen my hair at the same time.
