Ive been using Bosley 2% for about 4 months. I have seen improvements in that the hairs at my crown are growing and my hair actually feels and looks fuller. It could be a combination of the shampoo, mousse and 2% working together. What I appreciated the most was that I had questions about this product and someone from Bosley called me and was kind enough to explain the regrowth process to me and to me that is value. I tried the competitive brand and when I called their service line the rep was trying to sell me products and read off a cue card. I was not convinced to continue using their product. The Bosley 2% application can be a bit messy that is my only complaint. As much as one tries to apply directly to scalp it is hard not to get product on the hair. I suffer a mild form of female pattern thinning but even so I would recommend the use of this product to anyone and as with any treatment it does take time to see results.
Spironolactone is an antiandrogen that works in two ways. Primarily it slows down the production of androgens in the adrenal glands and ovaries. Secondly it blocks the action of androgens in part by preventing dihydrotestosterone from binding to its androgenetic receptor.
Follicin HG DHT Blocker is a 100% natural hair growth supplement. Follicin HG works to block Dihydrotestosterone, a known, and often, major contributor to male pattern baldness. At VH Nutrition we have worked through many different formulas over the last several years to develop, what we believe to be, the best known natural ingredients to block DHT. Using these clinically tested natural DHT blockers, we are confident that if your hair loss is caused by DHT, you will see results with Follicin HG. We encourage our users to experiment with other hair loss remedies to find what works best for you. Follicin HG works to inhibit the production of dihydrotestosterone, while washing your hair with a small amount of apple cider vinegar helps to remove and DHT built up on your scalp. By combining a vinegar wash with our product, results can be seen 2-3 times faster than a single method.
Recommended by most doctors, this two-way anti-hair loss system (daily supplement and activator gel with Trichogen), revives your dormant hair follicles, bringing it back to Anagen phase. This gives you a shiner, fluffier, and healthier you’ve never had before.

“Two-thirds of men do get acceptable hair growth — moderate to very good hair growth,” Andrew Kaufman, MD, tells WebMD. Kaufman, a hair-transplant surgeon, is assistant professor of clinical dermatology at UCLA, and medical director of the Center for Dermatology Care, Thousand Oaks, Calif.
What is clear is that the same thing happens in aging men and women. Hair follicles get smaller. The anagen stage of hair growth gets shorter, and the resting (telogen) stage gets longer. The result: Thin, very short hairs — and many follicles empty of hair shafts.
Update: I think if you’re looking to save money, this is obviously a hard decision, but thinking about how much you will spend on other treatments makes using this a great option. I noticed that the price has been raised substantially on this product since it launched, i believe because they had a lower price to get people using it and now that they do, they can raise it!!! But like I said, the results are great, and speak for themselves. I’m tempted to try the shampoo I recommended alone, to see if that’s the actual reason why I’m seeing results, it would save me a lot of money! but I figure I’ll just use both, dont’ mess with a good thing, right?

A common condition, alopecia areata usually starts as a single quarter-sized circle of perfectly smooth bald skin. These patches usually regrow in three to six months without treatment. Sometimes, white hair temporarily regrows and then becomes dark. The most extensive form is called alopecia totalis, in which the entire scalp goes bald. It’s important to emphasize that patients who have localized hair loss generally don’t go on to lose hair all over the scalp. Alopecia areata can affect hair on other parts of the body, too (for example, the beard or eyebrows).
Like the cure for cancer, those new treatments aren’t nearly ready for prime time. But they’re coming, promises George Cotsarelis, MD, director of the Hair and Scalp Clinic at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
I have struggled with my hair for a long time now. I am quickly approaching my 40s and I have bad hair quality. Recently, I have also noticed that my hair has stopped growing as it used to. A few years ago I went to the salon on a monthly basis. Now, it takes me almost two months before I even need to cut my hair! I am desperate and I really need help right now. Hair is one of the most important parts of a woman and I don’t want to give up on this one. I went to the doctors but they didn’t found anything wrong with me. The exams I took showed that I am healthy and there’s no reason for this to even happen to me. Please, I really need hair advice urgently!!!!!!!!!!!!
